A Brief description
Starting from mid-1999 we are developing a very large distributed Transcription and medical document management system in India. In this project we have a team of approx. 17 professionals working in New Delhi, India and a team of two senior project managers working from our North Carolina lab. Our client, a leader in transcription tools to the Healthcare Industry for more than a decade, announced a new Transcription Service offering. We have developed an Internet solution allowing its customers service choices ranging from a total in-house solution to a total Application Services Provider (ASP) service, whereby this client can provide any or all transcription services, software, hardware and HIS integration via the Internet. The ASP model allows transcriptionists to move off premise and become employees of the client or better yet, independent contractors. This system is capable of taking over the burden of recruiting, managing and controlling the transcription process using our ASP solution which allows automatic job allocation and monitoring from our home offices.Hospitals can now outsource transcription by allowing their transcriptionists to be employees or contractors for this client. This move insures quality is retained, continuity and familiarity is maintained and public image is upheld. In this system we have taken the necessary encryption precautions recommended by HCFA and included the new HIPAA guidelines under consideration as Law. Encryption assures patient confidentiality at every level, in-house or over the World Wide Web.
